S n behalf of this Company in executing rider, dated July 12, 1944, CLD No. 5741, extending to June 30, 1945, term of letter-agreement, Audit No. 10249, dated August 11, 1943, expiring June 30, 1944, with Peter Strattes, granting permission to use 6.0 acres of land, being the northerly 358 ft. of Lot 19 in the Los Angeles Pruitland Association 500-Acre Tract in Vernon, Los Angeles County, California; consideration $560 for the term, payable in advance; subject to surrender and vacation of all or any part of said premises on 30 days 1 notice from this Company; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. On motion duly seconded, it was • RESOLVED, that the action of Vice President Ashby and Asst, Secretary Bachman on behalf of this Company in executing agreement, C.A. No. 10301, dated March 1, 1945, with United States Rubber Company (Purchaser), providing: 1 - Land Company shall sell to Purchaser 20-acre parcel of land, being a portion of Lot 1, Tract No. 7777, East Los Angeles, California; purchase price, §60,000, payable in full upon delivery to Purchaser of deed and policy of title insurance; oil and minerals reserved without right of entry; 2 - Land Company shall arrange with UPRRCo. to extend, without cost to Purchaser, existing lead track along northerly boundary of purchase parcel and to construct one turnout leading therefrom to northerly boundary of said purchase parcel; 3 - Land Company shall, upon request of Purchaser, sign petition for vacation of portion of Gaspar Avenue, and upon vacation shall sell to Purchaser underlying land for price computed at $3,000 per acre; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. -4-
