Files 4787-11-104 4705-11-22 August 25, 1952 Mr. Hobart A. Allan, Chairman Public Servico Commission Carson City, Kevada Dear Mr. Allant Rat X k S Socket Mo. 127 We have received copy of tha Commission's Opinion and Order of August 13, 1952, in I k S Docket Mo. 127, which authorises the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to increase its water rates 20$, effective for tha September, 1952, billing. This order is now the effective order of the Commission in I k 8 Docket 127 and stands unless vacated or changed by the Court. It is our interpretation of the order that it became immediately effective at the time It was made on August 13, 1952, and that it authorised the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to put into effect the 20$ increase on September 1, 1952, without formal tariff publication. It is our intontlon to make the increase effective September 1, 1952, in accordance with the order. However it is our understanding that ths Commission desires to havs tho Increase embodied in a tariff schedule. In accordance with our informal understanding with the Commission we have calculated the rates which will result as nearly as possible in a 20$ increase over the existing rates when adjustment is made to the nearest fivs cents and have embodied such rates in a tariff schedule which we are submitting herewith to tho Commission for its consideration and approval.
