Thomas Craig Walsh was named GM of the Midtown motor inn. He had formerly been operation analyst at the Waldorf Astoria. The Summit's new GM is Robert Metzdorf, who for the past ten years was associated with Wien, Lane and Klein as director of that firm's ten-hotel group. The chain picked John W. Braun, GM of the Americana in San Juan, Puerto Rico, since its 1962 opening, to be GM of their recently-acquired Warwick hotel. They plan a million-dollar-plus modernization program there.
