It?╟╓s the; greatest elephant act I have l r ever seen. It?╟╓s also a sign of age when you [ I notice the elephant, [more than the nude 1 showgirls. j I The word is that MG ST put more than $1 '?╟≤ | million into the show*?╟÷ and it'shows onstage. ; Arden, who also stages the Lido de Paris l ] show both in Las .Vegas and Paris, will have " I a hard time topping himself. For instance, | the show uses 7001 costumes and requires a ^ j staff of 30 wardrobe [women. The 1600 lighting I ~ ~r | circuits are controlled by computer. : Theme of the show is the MGM musical in ?╟úThe Pirate?╟Ñ number, there is mass rape -on stage and thaTs.* something you never say l I on the Chatuauque /circuit. The Donn Arden spectacular would hardly be thought. ,of as a show for even a Las Vegas entertainment spa, its being /so vast and variegated. But there it is, and the crowds love' it. The show zooms into World?╟╓s Fair enormity with its giant ?╟╓aquacade, with swimming chorines and starstruck dolphins doing things unbelievable, dike a dolphin helping a beautiful /swimmerstrip while in the water. And a tense but astounding touch is added to the, water aspect of the show by a scene 'showing a giant pirate ship go up in flames, right in' the middle /of the big show room. It is, to be sure, something quite new .even for Las Vegas shoWs.
