GOALS To provide a functional social, cultural, educational center for the Jewish community of southern Nevada. Typical services and groups might include couples and singles groups for different ages, Mother/Daughter and Father/Son activities, cultural and religious education, senior citizen activities, child care for working parents, summer programs for school age children, banquet hall with Kosher kitchen and catering facilities, and support for students away from home. TIMETABLE: Three Months: * Incorporate as a Non-Profit Nevada Corporation * Formulate by-laws and organization structure * Establish regular day and time for monthly meetings * Determine the needs/wishes of the community * Organize and staff committees * Advertise formation of JCC and encourage membership * Obtain Post Office Box * Locate suitable temporary facility * Determine short term monetary needs Twelve Months: * Locate site for permanent facility * Secure funding for design and construction * Establish additional groups and services for community * Liason with local Synagogues and Federation * Elect officers and trustees from membership Eighteen Months: * Obtain title to permanent site location * Design of building and grounds * Begin construction of facility * Plan furnishing of building and grounds * Determine need for and availability of professional staff for facility upon completion
