I agree.Jrt _ This is the first time I have heard any figures on the anticipated costs for the water district, but it was stated in this meeting that they expected to issue bonds in the amount of $^,000,000 and that with the provisions of the proposed new act they could save about 1% in their financing- costs. Suggestion was then made by one of the members that perhaps it would be better to try to lease the water distributing system instead of condemning or otherwise acquiring it, as under this"method it would not be necessary to make such a large bond issue, and in addition the water system would continue to pay taxes, whereas if the water district acquired ownership of the mains the taxes would be lost. Will keep you advised of any further developments, A. M. Folger cc - Mr. E. E. Bennett
