GLARK, CARR & ELLIS 120 B r o a d w a y N ew Y o r k 5 W M . R-APR 17 1950 March 16, 1950 Mr. A. E. Stoddard, President Union P a cific Railroad Company, Omaha, Nebraska Dear Mr. Stoddard: Clients of this o ffic e are interested in discussing with you or the proper member of your organization the possible acquisition by the City o f Las Vegas of the water business of Las Vegas Land & Water Company. My partner, Joe Mann, t e lls me that the sale of these properties would involve a question o f p olicy which would come to you in any event, and suggested that I drop you a lin e and ask you whom our clien ts should see and, from whom they may get the necessary figures. Our clien ts are Henry Dahlberg & Company of 11 East Pennington Street, Tucson, Arizona, and they would be represented by M. C. Woodward or Patrick J. Ryder o f that firm. I f , after their discussions with you or your s t a ff, the project appears to merit further consideration, our clien ts have in mind seeking designation as "fis c a l agents" ( i .e . authorized bargaining representatives) o f the City, and we trust that you would find them suitable persons with whom to deal in that capacity.
