Mr.G.M.Bates-Los Angs, file 704-36, and with especial reference to the last paragraph thereof: I am advised that the District has formally approved the statement of accounts as set out in your letter of July 26th to me, and have authorized the preparation of a resolution to pay over to us the balance due to that account, to wit: $18,245.29 if my mathematics Fund is defined in the Escrow Instructions. Unfortunately, formal action on this approval, to be evidenced by a resolution, can not be taken until August 24th - the next meeting of the Board of Directors, but I know of no reason why you could not consider that figure correct as the basis for the various Income tax returns, etc., try to work out with Mr, Leo McNamee, Attorney for the District, the question of handling the taxes. Referring to your letter of August 5th, your are correct, and also to withdraw from the escrow the balance of the Purchase Price Adjustment Fund as that mentioned in your letter of August 5th, Meanwhile, between now and the 24th I will E.
