Dear Sir: Replying to your communication of lovember 27th with enclosed hills for taxes due on certain property here in Las Vegas Tornsite, beg to advise you that I find it exceedingly hard to make these collections. For instance, J. S. . isner, rho is billed for l!!5.52, claims that he personally paid this tax, and showed me his check stub In verification of sane. The same case may also be applied to bill against A* L. iurphy, on lots 31 and 32, block 35. Mr. Murphy says that he has held the deeds for these lots for two years, and that same were assessed to him 4nd paid for by him this year. I wish you would send me a letter of explanation as to $ust wht these assessments were paid by our company, as in the iurpoy case, I had no argument to put up when hfPel icflyaii m/e d that he had d. eed for Ip two years and the same had been assessed to him personally. Also kindly advise if I shall take the matter up with .Edward A. Clark, Treasurer, and have hlfe remit to me the amount of Wisher*s bill, also Murphy’s bill, in case they have as above stated, paid the same. Yours very truly,
