Las Vegas - April 2, 19 W 2>1-129 MEMORANDUM FOR THE FILE Mr. Paul Bellen, who apparently purchased a house from the Francisco Park people, called at the office today desiring to make application for water service to his house. He advised that the keys have been turned over to him by the Pardee-Phillips people and that he had rented the house to another party, who was planning to move Into it tomorrow, April 3# 195**. Mr. Davis and I informed Mr. Bellen that water in the mains had not been approved by the Health Department and that service could not be furnished him until such time as we had the approval cf the Health Department. I called Mr, Hartke, phone 7109, and advised him of the situation and also advised him that all of the samples taken on March 31# 195**# were reported by the Health Department as bad with the exception of the one taken at 15th and St. Louis Street immediately south of the St. Louis Street water main and the one taken in Parde^ u Place approximately adjacent to Lot 15, which two were reported by the Health Department as being good samples. I told Mr. Hartke that if people moved into any part of the Subdivision with the exception of the houses fronting on St. Louis Street prior to approval by the Health Department of the water in the mains southerly of St. Louis Street, that the Water Company would have to turn the water off as we could not accept responsibility of furnishing water which had ndfedJ been approved by the Health Department. Mr, Hartke agreed that the Pardee-Phillips people would not permit people to move In the homes southerly of St. Louis Street until such time as the Health Departntei^ had approved water in the mains adjacent thereto and that he would take the present situation up with the sales manager and other members of the Pardee-Phillips coneern and see what further action could be taken.
