( COW ) 123.1 . Las Vegas Water Franchise 36-15 - Kev. Oen Los Angeles - July 7, 1953 Mr. Wm. Reinhardts oes Mr. L. R. Maag Mr. 0. M. Cory Referring to Mr, Haag's letter to you of July 6th, his file W 23-1-127, In connection with solution of our water line in Charleston Blvd. a atrip of which has been vacated leaving our water line running through private property. X have suggested to Mr. Cory that he endeavor to drag this matter out aa much as he could and also, to discuss the matter with Mr. Coulthard, a Director of the District. X told Hr. Coulthard that the Water District, under the contract of June 1st, had bought this water line and so far as we were concerned they would take it over in connection with other facilities which they are taking over if the bond issue carries and they buy the Water Company. Under the circumstancea, I told him that X felt the District should pay for the cost of this removal. X do not know from an accounting standpoint whether the removal and relocation is a capital investment or operating expense but X see no reason why Hr. Maag should not submit the project to the Water District for their approval and acquiescence in the expenditure* S. E. Bennett SSStAFK
