I agree.F&EGMAN COMPANY RUBLIC RELATIONS September 30, 1955 Mr. Pierre Galente PARIS MATCH Magazine Si Rue Pierre Charron Parisi 89 France Dear Pierre, Upon the advice of Al Horwits of Columbia Pictures, I am writing you about your planned coverage of Las Vegas for the PARIS MATCH later this month of October* I would like to invite you and Walter Carone, your photographer, to stay at the Sands in Las Vegas while you are doing your story and I believe we can help you immeasureably in your planned coverage of that resort. Just for background, I want to tell you that each hotel has its own publicity office, and in addition, there is a department of the Chamber of Commerce called the Desert Sea Hews Bureau which handles photographic work for the hotels and the town itself. There is a complete darkroom at the Bureau and the people there, under the charge of Jack Pepper, will also be of great help to you and Carone. During October, the following stars will be appearing: Vic Damone, SANDS; Howard Keel, DUNES; Guy Lombardo, DESERT INNj Julius La Rosa, 1L RANCHO; Marlene Dietrich, SAHARA; Patrice Munsel, NSW FRONTIER; Rita Brothers, FLAMINGO; Kathryn Grayson, RIVIERA; Les Brown, MOULIN ROUGE. f 4 On the entertainment scene, the most newsworthy personality is the producer of the shows at the Sands and Dunes, Jack Entratter, who must spend nearly $60,000 each week to entertain the 47,000 visitors to the two hotels. I am enclosing a copy of a PAGEANT Magazine article on Entratter to fill you in on the entertainment scope of Las Vegas. Please let me hear from you upon your arrival in America and I will help make your stay here as enjoyable and as smooth as possible. Regards.
