Hammill Union Pacific Railroad Company Land and Tax Department 422 West Sixth Street T. E. H, MAY 12 1964 l Los Angeles 14, California Dear Mr. Hammill: Reference is m a d e to our telephone conversation of this date, and the discussion held in Las Vegas relative to the transfer of easements by the Union Pacific Company to the Las Vegas Valley Water District for the adjustment of their lines m a d e necessary by the construction of Interstate 15. Attached for your information is a copy of a letter of authorization from the Bureau of Public Roads covering the proposed adjustments. The water company has been issued authorization, and instructed to proceed \i a with the adjustments. It is therefore imperative that the necessary easement L\ \ ' be granted the Water District immediately. It is the State's contention that \» the transfer of easements from one location to another will have no bearing j ' whatsoever on the acquisition of the rights of way necessary for the freeway and downtown expressway. Your continued cooperation is solicited in bringing this matter to an early conclusion. LKK/lh e n d cc: J. W. Godfrey H. H. Christie Jack Parvin Las Vegas Valley Water District Very truly yours, W .
