Bracken; Referring to your le tt e r September 13th, subject, water supply - Las Vegas: That part o f i t re lativ e to blowing out the present well to relieve sand and other pressure, has been given consi­deration. Assistant Chief Engineer Adamson concurs in recom­mendation made by you and Dr. Boyle that we blow the w ell out in an e ffo rt to re liev e sand pressure, with the hope that it w ill increase the flow. It i s estimated it w ill cost approxi- r » r mately #1,000 to do th is work. However, i f successful, it would increase flow and therefore ju stify the expenditure. I f you w ill le t me know when you consider the time favorable for blowing the w ell out, I w ill take up and arrange for it promptly. F. H. Knickerbocker
