    October 24, 1951 File: 4705-11-22 Mr. Robert A. Allen, Chairman Public Service Commission of Nevada Carson City, Nevada Dear Mr. Allen: I am enclosing certain documents relating to Re: I & S. Docket 12? purchase of the 679*42 acres of water-bearing land owned by Union Pacific Railroad Company at Las Vegas, Nevada which I land which have been acquired and the date of acquisition thereof and it also shows certain parcels of land which were The Hinman property, consisting of approxi­mately 80 acres, was purchased as a result of the recommenda­tions contained in the Taylor & Taylor report, dated August 4, 1937, a copy of which is enclosed. Its purchase was origlnall authorized under Work Order 337 > dated November 2, 1937, which was erroneously issued in the name of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company. This authority was cancelled on December 31, 1937 and on the same date Work Order 1136 was Issued authoriz­ing the purchase in the name of Los Angeles & Salt Lake Rail­road Company. I am enclosing photostatic copies of our file copies of these Work Orders. sive report from Mr. R. G. Greene, geologist, to Mr. Reinhardt, dated October 9, 1939, recommending certain improvements in the production and distribution system at Las Vegas. You will notice that he recommended the purchase of the Cutting property, consisting of 40 acres, and the purchase of the Pike property, consisting of 160 acres, and the eventual drilling df a total of seven wells, one on the Cutting property, one on the Hinman property, two on the Pike property and the remainder on our original holdings. The recommendations in the Greene report would like to discuss with you at a later date.
