Splane this morning withdrew his verbal option of $60 per acre for SW Quarter Section Jl, and my further inspection of ground this morning indicates without,question we should instead acquire Southeast Quarter Section owned by Pike and associates. The latter is unquestionably in pronounced water ledge and is recommended in Geologist Green's, report Oot 9» 1939* Item No. 5 and Map 6. ton, but in conference on ground this-morning he has agreed to do so and we are offered the Southeast Quarter of Section 31 at $50 per acre, which I recommend for Immediate purchase. Am asking further consideration be given purchase of Splane acreage men­tioned my letter Oct. 17th. • Previously Pike w,ould not split his 320 acres on Charles­Mr. Strong to advise you direct his concurrence.
