(boo - Mr. A. M. Polger) May 23, 1950 733* Mr. W. T. Holcomb, State Highway Engineer# State of Nevada, Department of Highways, Las Vegas, Nevada Attention? Mr. Lawrence C. Chambers Dear Sir? Referring to your letter of May B$ 1950* addressed to Mr. Polger, with respect to proposed highway widening on North Main Street, Las Vegas, In connection with which the State proposes to acquire a 6-ft. strip of land of each of two parcels owned by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company abutting the present highway? I am returning herewith proposed agreement covering the parcel presently under option to A. E. Cahlan since Mr. Cahlan advises that it is very probable he will exercise his option to purchase this parcel within the next sixty days and, as he has indicated orally his willingness to grant the necessary six feet to the State upon his acquisition of ownership, it would be preferable to us to convey direct to Mr. Cahlan. With respect to the other parcel as indicated on the attached map and in accordance with our conversation, there is enclosed herewith for your preliminary approval one copy of our usual form of easement for highway purposes, subject to reservation of minerals, water rights and right of reversion. If the document is satisfactory and you will so advise, I will request executive approval of the transaction, consideration for the easement to be $38H.OO. Very truly yours, tSigmi) A. C. ROTES
