BRACKEN, AGT., LAS VEGAS, NEV. Plastering and re-tinting company houses at Las Vegas. Los Mr.W.H.Bancroft, Mr.J.Ross Clark, Executive Committee. * Lear Sirs: On July twenty-fifth Mr.Bracken, Agent at Las Vegas, advised that there were a great many complaints from occupants of the company houses relative to the plastering, and that in three houses which he had personally examined he found the plastering very soft, and crumbling almost to the touch, These houses were then vacant, and before he oould rent them they had to be put in good condition and he was obliged to get a plasterer to make the repairs, contracting a bill of $39.00 for the work. The houses were numbered 584 and 684 South Second Street and 501 South Third Street. It would seem to me that if the work were properly done in the first place it should not be necessary to spend this amount of money so soon for repairs to plastering, unless the houses had been abused, which I do not understand to be the case. Yours truly, Vice President & Auditor. Angeles, Cal., August 86, 1911.
