Los Angeles, July 16, 1909* File 46 Mr. E, I. Bettis, Vice-President, Las Vegas Land and Water Co., Los Angeles, Cal# Dear Sir:~ Beferring to Mr.Clark's letter fourteenth instant in regard to additional lots for company houses at Las Vegas, after going over the list of unsold lots ray opinion is that the most desirable ones for the purpose in question are Lots SO to 3£, inclusive, in Block S3, and Lots SO and SI in Block SI, My reasons for these selections axe, first, I do not believe the company houses should be all in the same locality, and, second, Mr.Bracken tells me that he can rent the same Glass of houses on the lots above described for at least five dollars a month each more than the houses to be built on Blocks S3 and 26. My second choice for the additional houses is Lots 7 to 14, inclusive, and 17 to £4 inclusive, Block 27* Phase lots as you will note are nearer Blocks S3 and S6, but the houses built on same will not rent for any more than those bufflt on S3 and 26. For that reason I prefer the lots first described. Please give me your views on the subject in order that we may make joint recommendation to the Executive Committee* Yours very truly,
