K & n x APR PS 7927 Los Angeles, April 22, 192? 20-6 Mr. F, H, Knicharbochnrt Please b® referred to ay letter Hovamber 29, 1929 and Sr, MoXamee's letter April 4, 1927, relative to renewal of sentrsst between the Las Vegas Land and Water Company sad the Los Angeles & Salt Laics Bailroad Company covering the S v m i s M m of water 11 Las Tm u * Sy letter Sovember 29 recommended that before establishing a new rate, we should arrange to install a aster in the pipe line serving the LfL and W Co, so as to toll definitely Just how maeh water that Company is using! and it was further reooismended that existing contract be extended for six months, at the end of which tine wo would bo in a better position to advise you relative to the water situation. It is recognised that the Las Vegas Land and voter Gompeny is a subsidiary of the Bailroad Company and that a revision in rates would apparently result in a mere change in accounting! however, with the decrease in the flow cf our well from 3944 0,P,ll. measured In July 1924 to 1979 6 .P*h* measured in Larch 192? and the probable execution of the contract with the Hotel Company for 60 miners* inches or approximately 660 §•?*£,, it appears that we should give serious consideration to the supply and use of water at Las Vegas, My understanding is that the 50 miners* Inches for the Hotel Gmapahy is divided into the amount which can be supplied through a 3* pip# line, which amount will be tafcsn from the main pipe line and the remainder is to be pumped by the Hotel Company from Las Vegas crash.
