LAS VEGAS LAND AND WATER COMPANY BD 1-8 SUBJECT: Annual Report of Water of Nevada Utility to Public Service Commission Omaha, Nebraska, Sept* 5, 1938 Mr. W. R. Bracken - Las Vegas: Your letters of August 16 and September 1, 1938, with respect to manner of reporting certain statistical information in our Annual Report of Water Utility to the Public Service Commission of Nevada: In view of General Attorney McNamee’s opinion referred to on page 3 of your letter of August 16, and the ruling of the Secretary of the Public Service Commission given in his letter of August 29, we now understand that the amount reported to the Commission as maximum water supply should include the amount utilized for irrigation purposes at the ranch owned by the L.V.L.& W. Co., but should not include the water utilized or sold by the railroad; that the water, used for railroad purposes should, however, be reported in a footnote for the information of the Commission, so that the total production of the water facilities may be ascertained from the Report. In order to insure that we are now in agreement as to the manner of reporting this information, I am attaching a copy of page 13, "General Statistics", of the Annual Report, on which I have shown the information, based on figures for the year 1937, as we propose to report it in future. I will appreciate advice from you as to whether the proposed manner of reporting has your concurrence. In order to allow ample time after receipt of your annual advice of statistics for compilation and issuance of the report, and for bringing up and disposing of any questions which may arise in connection with the information furnished, we should receive the data
