Commissioner Peccole moved the application of Porter Hotel System, Overland Hotel, 2 North Main Street for one slot machine; Harry L. Spencer and William H. Rufe, Sargent's Cafe, 124½ North 1st Street for two slot machine; and Southern Nevada Vending, 116 South 1st Street for two slot machine for the third quarter of 1950 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. Commissioner Moore moved the following gaming applications for the third quarter of 1950, being new locations, be approved; O'NEIL LUMBER CO. C. H. Millhizer 507 W. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. The committee for report on the proposed ordinance amending the pawnshop ordinance asked for additional time before reporting. The committee for report on the proposed ordinance amending the garbage ordinance asked for additional time before reporting. Commissioner Peccole moved the bid of Tri County Electric in the amount 35% trade discount less 2% cash discount 10th Prox., on Bid No. 50.20 being the furnishing of lamps to the City of Las Vegas, said bids having been received on June 28, 1950, being the low bid received, be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. Commissioner Peccole moved the City Attorney be directed to take whatever legal steps are necessary to correct the confusion of property lines and arrangement of properties so as to allow the design of a street system in that portion of Section 28 known as the Zaugg Tract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. Commissioner Moore moved the City Manager be instructed to see that the building that has been moved in on the corner of 2nd and Fremont Streets, temporary head­quarters for the Republican Party, be moved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. Commissioner Peccole moved the stipulation as (drawn up by the City Attorney be ap­proved by the Council and made a part of the record, and a copy sent to the Secretary of the Air Force.
