    390 MC NEIL TRACT NO. 2 Final Map AERIAL PASSAGE OVER ALLEY Apache Hotel PROPOSED ORDINANCE City Clerk REZONING - Public Hearing Block 3, So. 5th St. Tract No. 1 REZONING - Public Hearing Block 9, Boulder Addn. REZONING - Public Hearing Meadows Addition WHEREAS, C.C. BOYER is at the present time unable to attend to his duties as the City Engineer of the City of Las Vegas, due to illness; and WHEREAS, there are several final subdivision maps ready to be signed and approved by the City of Las Vegas, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That J.D. GOULETTE, Senior Assistant City Engineer of the City of Las Vegas, and a Registered Professional Engineer of the State of Nevada, License No. 719, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute in the place and stead of the City Engineer the required certificate upon final subdivision maps during the absence and illness of C.C. BOYER, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this authorization applies to subdivision maps only. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent: Commissioner Peccole. Commissioner Whipple moved the final map of McNeil Tract No. 2 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent: Commissioner Peccole. Mr. William Coulthard, representing Mr. P.O. Silvagni owner of the Apache Hotel in his request for permission to construct an aerial passage way over the alley between the Apache Hotel and the annex on North 2nd Street, appeared before the Board at this time. Thereafter, Commissioner Bunker moved the request of P.O. Silvagnie to construct an aerial passage way over the alley between the Apache Hotel and the annex on North 2nd Street be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent; Commissioner Peccole. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A CITY CLERK; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES THEREFORE; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDI­NANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Jar­rett and Whipple for recommendation. This being the time heretofore set for the public hearing on the rezoning from R-3 to R-4 of the following described property: Lots 1 to 3 inclusive, Block 3, South 5th Street Tract No. 1 His Honor asked if there was anyone present who wished to object to this proposed rezoning. There were no objections voiced. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved that Lots 1 to 3 Block 3, South 5th Street Tract No. 1 be rezoned from R-3 to R-4 subject to the installation of street paving and curbs and gutters. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. This being the time set for the public hearing on the proposed rezoning from R-3 to R -4 of Lot 14, Block 9 of the Boulder Addition, His Honor asked if there was anyone present who wished to protest this rezoning. There were no objections voiced Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved this hearing be continued until June 3, 1953. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent: Commissioner Peccole. This being the time heretofore set for the public hearing on the proposed rezoning from R-3 to R-4 of the following described property: Lots 1 to 7 and 31 to 36 inc., Block 2; Lots 1 to 18 inc. and 23 to 41 and unnumbered lots, Block 4; Lots 9 to 14 and 19 to 41 inc., and unnumbered lot, Block 5; Lots 1 to 18, 23 to 24 and 37 to 46 inc., Block 6; Lots 1 to 34 inc., Block 10 Lots 1 to 34 inc., Block 11; and All of Blocks 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and those portions of unnumbered lots and blocks lying north of New York Avenue All in the Meadows Addition. His Honor asked if there was anyone present who wished to protest this proposed rezoning. There were no objections voiced. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved the rezoning from R -3 to R -4 of the above described property be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent: Commissioner Peccole. 5-29-53
