Cosstockj General Manager, LA&SL RR Co., Los Angeles, California. Dear Sir: Referring to my letter February 3, relative to sale of certain tract of land at Las Vegas to Mr. John L. Russell, and your telegram X-784 of February 26 advising that Mr. Russell's financial backer had failed him and that he was endeavoring to secure help through other channels, and that execution of contract was being held up. When passing through Las Vegas on March 15 enroute East, Mr. Bracken informed me that Mr. Russell desired to withdraw his application to purchase this land on account of being obliged to leave Las Vegas, and that it was now desired to sell this property to Mr. W. Please, therefore, have contract changed accordingly and when executed by Mr. Hawkins send it to me for further attention* You understand, of course, that the sale of this land is subject to formal authorization by the Executive Committee. Yours truly, CC-Mr. W. R. Bracken . .11 S
