At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 29th day of October, 1928, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy and W. C. German, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. ABSENT: Commissioners O. J. Smith and Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. After discussion of certain phases of proposed ordinance No. 133, a recess was declared until the 30th day of October, 1928 at the hour of three o'clock, P. At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 30th day of October, 1928, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy, W. C. German, and Roy Neagle, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. ABSENT: Commissioner O. J. Smith. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. A proposed ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Empowering, Authorizing and Directing the Ex-Officio City Assessor of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, To Levy A Special Assessment To Defray the Costs of Making Certain Improvements In The City Of Las Vegas, By Grading For And Constructing Oil Bound Gravel Pavements And Hydraulic Cement Concrete Curbs on Certain Streets and Portions of Streets in Said City, According To The Plats, Diagrams And Estimates Of Cost Thereof On File In The Office Of The City Clerk Of The City of Las Vegas; Describing Definitely The Location Of Said Improvements, Stating The Amounts of Said Assessment, And Designating The Lots, Lands And Premises To Be Assessed According to Benefits; Providing For the Issuance Of Special Assessment Bonds For The Payment Thereof, And Other Matters Relating Thereto," was read for the second time, and upon motion of Commissioner W. C. German, seconded by Commissioner Roy Neagle, was duly passed, approved and adopted, and ordered numbered 133, and ordered published in the Las Vegas "AGE" as required by law, the vote being as follows: Commissioner W. B. Mundy, W. C. German and Roy Neagle and His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Aye; Noes, none. Upon motion of Commissioner W. C. German, seconded by Commissioner Roy Neagle, it was by the Board ordered that all printing and publishing done by the City of Las Vegas be, until further order of the Board, divided evenly between the Las Vegas "AGE" and the Las Vegas "REVIEW", the Finance Commissioner being directed to separate the job printing and advertising and divide all job printing and advertising evenly between both of said papers for the period beginning June 1st, 1927 and ending June 1st, 1929, the vote being as follows: Commissioner W. B. Mundy, W. C. German and Roy Neagle and His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Aye; Noes, none. No further business appearing, the meeting was, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, adjourned.
