Next weak the program is in charge cf Bill Beckley. Our attendance is improving end I know that the Vegas Club is going tc continue to do tier part in keeping the attendance record for the Second Distiict. In thi3 connection the Board of Directors have ordered an Attendance Chart which will be on display at every meeting in the future. This chart shows each man's attendance record for the year and is worked out with a number of colored pins, each color having its part-icular meaning in attendance. It is reported that these charts help to make attendance. A SMILE A smile is quite a funny thing. It wrinkles up your face, And when it's gone you nejer find It's secret hiding place; But far more wonderful it is To see what smiles can do; Tou smile at one, he smiles at you, And so one smile makes two. This coming Saturday, the 20th, the inter-city meeting at Needles, California, is on the program. Every member who possibly can should make an effort to attend. The opportunities presented to us for inter-city meetings are few and we should make the most of them. I know that the Needles Club have prepared for us with their usual enthusiasm. A PISH 3TORY Bass fishing was out of Beason and the game warden, who happened to find a small boy holding a rod and line, took the precaution to satisfy himself that the catch so far consisted of only catfish, perch and suckers. But a few feet farther along he found a large black bass wriggling on another string, and one look at the boy's face proclaimed him the guilty person. "What are you doing with this fish?" asked the warden in terrifying tones. "Well, you see," returned the boy, blushingly but untroubled, "he^ been taking my bait all morning, so I just tied him up until I get through fishing." IT IS U? TO EACH OP US The aim of Rotary is to make each member a better man because he is a Rotarian; to help him think right, be right, do right; to make his business a pleasure; to make truthfulness and quality the prime elements of business; to make him love his neighbor, even if he is a competitor; to look on the sunny side and smile; to supplant sorrow with joy; to seek that which is good in ail men, and to serve mankind cheerfully, faithfully, honastly and unselfishly. (Rotarian P.L.Mulholland, Tofcedo.) Jim (About to start for Needles) Prank, put in one gallon of gas. Prank Gusewelle: 7hat are you trying to do Jim, wean her. Ernie Cragin says, You know that tune haunts me." To whioh Rred Hesse replies, "Well its your own fault. You shouldn't have murdered it. GET READY POR SIN DIEGO.
