West Bonanza and then make the required application for a license. Commissioner Whipple moved the Restaurant Beverage license of the Baby Beef Cafe at 4l6 West Bonanza be reinstated. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Mr. Merle Sage appeared at this time to request the extension of the lease the Las Vegas Archer's Association has with the City for property near the Municipal Golf Course. Commissioner Fountain moved the lease with the Las Vegas Archer's Association be extended from June 1, 1955 to June 1, 1956, and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign the same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Whipple moved a public hearing on the application of Wilbur Clark to reclassify a portion of the NE¼ of the SW¼ of the NW¼ of Section 1, T21S, R6lE, MDB&M from R-1 and R-3 to R-4 be held November 2, 1955 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Whipple moved a public hearing on the application of Amy Lee Houser to reclassify Lots 1 to 8, Block 24, Lots 9 to 16, Block 25, Lots 1 to 6, Block 21, Lots 7 to 12, Block 20 of Valley View Addition from R-3 to R-4 and Lots lo to 12, Block 22, HFM&M Addition from R-3 to C-2 be held November 2, 1955 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Whipple moved a public hearing on the reclassification of Lots 31 and 32, Block 24, Pioneer Heights Addition and Lots 16 and 17, Block 23, Wardie Addi­tion, being the northwest comer of 11th and Garces, be held November 22, 1955 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Director of Planning Franklin Bills reported at this time on the proposed rezoning of South 4th and South 6th Streets from Bridger to Charleston. Mr. Bills stated that the Planning Commission made the following recommendation: 1. An amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance authorizing the establishment of an addition district classification to the designated P-1 or Parking District. That the uses in this district be as follows: a. Any use permitted in an R-1, R-2 and R-3 District. b. The establishment of commercial or patron off-street parking lots. 2. The reclassification of the half block strip, 140 feet in depth from Bridger to Charleston from the alley east of 5th Street to 6th Street from R-1 and R-3 to P-1. 3. The reclassification of the half block strip, l40 feet in depth, from Clark to Hoover from the alley west of 5th Street to 4th Street, from R-3 and R-4 to P-1. 4. The reclassification of the half block strip, l40 feet in depth between 6th Street and the alley east of 6th Street, from Bonneville to Hoover, from R-1 to R-3. 5. The reclassification of the half block strip, l40 feet in depth, from Bridger to Hoover from 4th Street to the alley west of 4th Street from R-3 to R-4. Commissioner Whipple moved that the public hearing on this rezoning of South 4th Street and South 6th Street from Bridger to Charleston be held on November 2, 1955; instead of October 19th as originally scheduled since there is not sufficient time to give notice for this latter date. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp.
