Los Angeles, December 14, 1951 &£c 4705-11-22 Mr. ¥m. Reinhardt: (cc - Mr. A. E. Stoddard Mr. ¥. R. Ronse Mr. ¥. H. Hulsizer Mr. R. M. Sutton Mr. Galvin M. Cory Mr. ¥. H. Johnson ) Enclosed is copy of Order of the Public Service Commission dated December 7, 1951, ordering the Las Vegas Land and ¥ater Company to place in effect as of December 1, 1951, reduced rates for motels. You will recall that the Chairman of the Commission asked us to voluntarily place these reduced rates in effect as a result of informal complaints made to him by the motel people with respect to the motel rates prescribed by the Commission. ¥e refused to do this because it would result in further reduction in our revenues. The order of the Commission is highly improper, but it is the order of the Commission and must be complied with until it is set aside in the proper fashion. I I am asking Mr. Johnson, to whom a copy of this letter is going, to furnish me as soon as possible an estimate of the monthly reduction in revenue which will be experienced under the reduced motel rates as compared with the revenue which we were receiving under the rates prescribed by the Commission. I then propose to file a supplement to our present complaint a-gainst the Public Service Commission asking to have the order of December 7, 1951, set aside. Enel
