Gentlemen: We are writing to protest your recent schedule of rates which permits you to charge an exorbitant fee for the privilege of owning and operating an air refrigerating machine in our club. The facts of the case are as follows: 1. The machine operates approximately fifteen (15) hours a day during the summer months only. 2. The actual water consumption for evaporation and bleed in the evaporative cooler used on our machine is 1.3 gallons per hour per ton. The 30 ton machine in question thus uses approximately &00 gallons per day which is little more than is used on an average lawn or public toilet. These figures were obtained from the Refrigeration Engineering, Inc., 7250 E. Slauson, Los Angeles, California. 3. We are mailing a copy of this letter to the Public Service Commission and using all means available to force a drastic reduction or complete cancellation of this utterly ridiculous basis of taxing water consumption for air refrigeration. We, also-, take this opportunity to advise you that our unit has a 30 ton capacity and not 35 ton as you stated in your letter of August 12th to us. Please change your records and send us an advice to that effect. Fred Soly, President FS:rm cci Public Service Commission. ROULETTE CRAPS " 21" POKER RACE BOOK
