Call to Order CSUN Senate President Jack E. Spicer Jr., called Senate Meeting 19-1 to order at 7:00PM in MSU 201. II. Senator Oath Chief Justice Joe Bunin swore in senators. III. Roll Call PRESENT ABSENT Senator Kurzer Senator Saunders Senator Wilcox Senator Geihs Senator Hoferer Senator Polovina Senator Rosenberg Senator Bauhs_ Senator DaQuino Senator Bailey Senator Dreibelbis Senator Elliott Senator Frankulin Senator Valenti Senator Walker Senator Cozine Senator Colebrook Senator Demars - Senator Hoffman III. Announcements CSUN Senate President Jack E. Spicer Jr., announced that he would be giving his State of the Senate Address at the next meeting.He motioned that the Senate Meeting today shouldn't be any longer than 7:29pm. There were no objections from the Senate to have the meeting last no longer than 7:29pm. Motion by CSUN President Steve Evenson to have the candidates for the Science and Math seat to speak to the Senate for no more than two minutes, after which the Senate will discuss and then vote for a candidate for the Science and Math College, the highest vote getter wins. Aimee Wytko addressed the Senate- There ,was discussion. Todd Gottschalk addressed the Senate. There was discussion. Senator Frankulin called for a vote. Senator Walker objected to a call for a vote. Senator Frankulin withdrew his motion. There was discussion. Call for a vote. Senator Kurzer called for a roll call vote. Wytko Wilcox DaQuino Valenti Walker Colebrook Abstention Polovina Gottschalk Kurzer Saunders Geihs Hoferer Bauhs Bailey Dreibelbis Elliott Demars Hoffman Rosenberg Frankulin Cozine Todd Gottschalk was sworn in by Chief Justice Joe Bunin as a Senator. Miguel Palmieri was sworn in by Chief Justice Joe Bunin as CSDN Vice President Pro Tempore. IV. Announcements CSON Senate President Jack E. Spicer Jr., announced that the Senators should be at the Senate Meeting at 3:30pm to have an information session on the proper parlimentary procedure. The meeting itself will be at 4:00pm. CSUN President Steve Evenson mentioned that the State of the Senate Address is a way to update everyone on what the goals are and what has been done in CSUN. He welcomed all the new Senators aboard. He mentioned that everyone should get involved in CSUN. He nominated Jessie Young for the Education seat on the Senate. CSUN Vice President Jennifer McGinty announced that she was glad that she now had a CSUN Vice President Pro Tempore. CSUN Vice President Pro Tempore Miguel Paliaieri mentioned that he was glad that he had the position for Pro Tempore. He mentioned that at the next meeting he will have the final revised budget. Board and Committe Reports Yellin' Rebel editor Mike Keller announced that Pat and Paige at the newspaper are engaged. Senator Brandi Hoffman announced that she was going to have a SHAC meeting at 3:GGpm tomorrow. Open Discussion There was none. Adj ournment CSUN Senate President Jack E.
