VARIANCE (V-11-58) The Commission considered the application of Vail Pittman for variance to extend a Vail Pittman carport 6 feet beyond the existing front building line at 1817 Walnut Street (Lots 27 and 28, Block 2, Boulder Dam Homesite #1) in and R-1 zone. Approved Planning Director Bills advised that the Board of Zoning Adjustment approved this application. He further stated that the Engineering Department would like to have an agreement signed that Mr. Pittman will enter into any assessment of improvement district for the installation of sidewalks in this area, when the time comes. Mr. Pittman agreed to this stipulation. His Honor asked if there were any objections to the granting of this variance. None were voiced or filed. Commissioner Whipple moved this application be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada having considered the application of Vail Pittman for variance to extend a carport 6' beyond the existant front building line at 1817 Walnut Street (Lots 27 and 28, Block 2, Boulder Dam Homesite #1) in and R-1 zone; and The Board having considered the recommendation of the Board of Zoning Adjustment approving this application subject to the signing of an agreement to enter into any future assessment or improvement district for sidewalk installation; 8-6-58
