Maxson, President of UNLV, will be the guest speaker at our June 12th luncheon. Dr. Maxson will be discussing his concept of UNLV as a dynamic urban university within the unique Southern Nevada setting. In that regard, the University and the community must work together. As most of you know, Dr. Maxson came to Las Vegas last year from the University of Houston where he was Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Again, the luncheon will be held at the Palace Station, Track II at 12 noon sharp. We will be finished no later than 1:30. Please call your response now into my office (798-7970 to Wanda) or to the Jewish Federation Office (732-0556 to Mimi) by June 10th. The cost of the luncheon will be $10.00 per person.
