Co* Dear sir: Your letter to Mr. W* H. Bancroft and myself , March 25rd, 1905, is received with copy of letter to Committee from Mr. T# E. Gibbons, March 22nd, and I reply at once, sending Mr. Bancroft a copy. The situation seems to be practically,- 1, - it is absolutely necessary to at once give possession of property to bona fide purchasers, and especially to those desiring to put- up houses and places of business. 2. - It will require some time to go through the formalities of organizing a townsite company in shape for actual business. 5.- The San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake R. R. Co. is now the owner of the property. 4. - In Hevada, as I remember it, a townsite plat can be filed with the County Recorder at the request of any one, for instance, J. Ross Clark, individually, or at the request of the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company by J. Ross Clark, Second Vice President. 5. - Lots can be sold and described by reference to their lot and block numbers according to said map as filed at request of etc. 6. - It is perfectly feasible for the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake R. R. Co. by an officer so authorized by resolution, to Los Angeles, Cal. San Francisco, G al., March 25, 1905.
