Approximately 5,610 LP of 6“ cast iron water mains* 3 c* Approximately 156 LF of 6° cast iron fire hydrant connections* 4 The cost of constructing said water mains (exclusive of cost of 0 constructing fire hydrant connections) is the agreed sum of 6 $33,878.00. 7 2. Said water mains shall be constructed of 6” and 8” 8 Class 150 B & S cast iron pipe and shall be in accordance with 9 Federal specifications WWP 421 Type 1. All joints shall be cement. 10 All fittings shall be new, all bell cast iron equal to ASA Standard 11 Class 250* All valves shall be double disk, parallel seat bronze 12 mountings conforming to AWWA standards, not less than 175 lbs., 13 and all valve boxes shall be of cast iron of appropriate size for 14 each valve* Unless otherwise approved by a duly authorized 15 representative of the Company, all pipe valves and fittings shall 16 be manufactured by the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company or 17 Mueller Company. All pipe lines shall be chlorinated in accord- 1 18 ance with AWWA specifications, shall be subject to the approval 19 and acceptance of State and City Health Authorities, and shall be 20 constructed at an elevation to be designated by a duly authorized 21 representative of the Company, but in no event shall there be less 22 than 36” of covering over such water mains* All workmanship, 23 material and installation of said water mains shall be subject to 24 the approval and acceptance of a duly authorized representative of 25 the Company. 26 -2- 1 A - /* *
