COUNTY OF CLARK ) RICHARD LOCHRIE, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the LAS VEGAS MORNING SUN, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two (2) weeks from April 21, 1956 to April 28, 1956, inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: April 21, 28, 1956. GREENSPUN NOTARY PUBLIC IN AND FOR CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA My Commission Expires March 17, 1960 ORDINANCE NO. 710 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36, SECTION 116, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, AS LAST AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 583, BY ESTABLISHING A PARKING METER ZONE WITHIN THE CITY; PROVIDING METHODS OF DETERMIN­ING WHERE PARKING METERS SHALL BE PLACED WITHIN SAID PARKING METER ZONE; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 36, Section 116, Code of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949 as last amended by Section 1, Ordinance No. 583 is hereby further amended to read as follows: The following named and described areas, streets or portions of streets and such other area, streets or portions of streets as may hereafter be included in this section by amendment hereto, lying with the corporate limits of the City, shall constitute a parking meter zone, namely: On FREMONT STREET from Main Street to the East City Limits; On BRIDGER AVENUE, CARSON AVENUE, OGDEN AVENUE and STEWART AVENUE from Main Street East to 15th Street; On CHARLESTON BOULE­VARD from Main Street East to 17th Street; On OAKEY BOULEVARD from Main Street East to 5th Street; On SAN FRANCISCO STREET from the Union Pacific Right of Way East to Paradise Valley Road. On BOULDER AVENUE from Main Street East to 2nd Street; On COOLIDGE AVENUE from Main Street East to 4th Street; On HOOVER, GASS, GARCES, BONNEVILLE and CLARK AVENUES from Main Street East to 4th Street and from 5th Street East to 7th Street. On CALIFORNIA AVENUE from "A" Street East to 3rd Street; On COLORADO AVENUE and IMPERIAL AVENUE from Industrial Road East to 3rd Street; On UTAH and WYOMING AVENUES from Indus­trial Road East to 5th Street. On FIRST STREET from Charleston Boulevard North to the Police Station; on SECOND STREET FOURTH STREET, SIXTH STREET, SEVENTH STREET, EIGHTH STREET and NINTH STREET from Charleston Boulevard North to Mesquite Avenue; On THIRD STREET from Charleston Boulevard North to Stewart Avenue; On FIFTH STREET from the North City Limits to the South City Limits; On MAIN STREET from North City Limits to the South City Limits. On TENTH STREET, ELEVENTH STREET, THIRTEENTH STREET, FOURTEENTH STREET, and FIFTEENTH STREET from Bridger Avenue North to Stewart Avenue; On TWELFTH STREET from Charleston Boulevard North to Stewart Avenue; On "A" STREET from Charleston Boulevard South to Boston Avenue. The area of the Clark County Courthouse grounds cleared and designated for parking use. All frontages on such streets and areas defining said zones are to be included therein. SECTION 2. The future placement of parking meters on those streets and parts of streets where such placement is permitted by Section 1 of this Ordinance, which do not on the effective date of this ordinance have parking meters in place thereon shall be done in the following manners (a) By the passage of a resolution by the Traffic and Parking Commission of the City of Las Vegas approving such placement, and (b) By the passage of a resolution by the Board of Commissioners approving such place­ment, and directing their installation. SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 583 is hereby expressly repealed, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are also repealed. SECTION 4. If any one or more sections, sentences, clauses or parts of this Ordinance shall, for any reason, be questioned or be held invalid such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, but shall be confined in its operation to the specific sections, sentences, clauses or parts of this Ordinance so held unconstitutional and invalid, and the inapplicability and invalidity of any section, sentence, clause or part of this Ordinance, in any one or more instances shall not affect or prejudice in any way the applicability and validity of this Ordinance in any other instances. SECTION 5. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this Ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its final reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in said City.
