Commencing at the monument upon which this notice is placed and running fourteen hundred (1,400) feet in an Easterly direction and one hundred (100) feet in a Westerly direction said mine is Situated near the [not legible] of trail leading down to Alum spring in front and East of the location monument of the El Capitan mine and about (400) ft Easterly from said location in El Dorado mining District Lincoln County State of Nevada and shall be known as the “ Challenge “ mining company Dated on the ground this 14th day of July A.D. 1880 J.W.
