    BIDS ON PAVING OF Commissioner Moore moved that the recommendation of the City Manager that WOODLAWN CEMETERY the bid of Wells Cargo Ihc. in the amount of $5,231.40 for paving of certain streets in Woodlawn Cemetery be accepted, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moov/e, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. BID NO. 51.2 - Gasoline Commissioner Moore moved that Bid No. 51.2 Gasoline, opened March 21, Awarded 1951 be awarded to the low bidder, Signal Oil Company. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. B & C GARAGE Commissioner Moore moved that Mr. L. V. Clements of the B. & C. Garage be granted a ninety day extension of time to comply with ordinances governing the operation of his garage. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. WATER LEAK. Commissioner Bunker moved the letter received from W. H. Johnson of Las Vegas Land and Water Compary regarding a water leak at 610 North 10th Street be ordered filed and the City Manager directed to bring this matter to the attention of the Public Service Commission. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. MONTANA MUNICIPAL Commissioner Whipple moved the City Manager be authorized to attend the LEAGUE CONVENTION convention of the Montana Municipal League on May 18 and 19, 1951 as a guest speaker. Motion seconded by Mr. Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. PROPOSED ORDINANCES’ Commissioner Bunker, member of the committee for report on the proposed ordinances on Race Horse Book and Race Horse Wire Service asked for additional time before reporting. TAXI APPLICATION Commissioner Moore moved the application of Joseph A. Michel, Checker Cab Co. for one replacement taxicab license be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. "A" STREET RIGHT Commissioner Moore moved the City Manager be authorized to start the necessary OF WAY proceedings immediately to obtain right of way deeds on "A" Street from Oakey Boulevard to Boston Avenue. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. REZONING OF HARPER Commissioner Bunker moved the public hearing on the rezoning of a portion TRACT - Public of NE¼ of the SE¼ of Section 28, T 20 S, R 61 E., MDB&M known as the Hearing Set Harper Tract, from R-E to R-2 be set for April 18, 1951 at 3:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. 5th STREET WIDENING Commissioner Whipple moved that in view of the fact that the State Highway Department is willing to cooperate with the City and are anxious to proceed with the securing a four-lane highway and street lighting project, the Southern Nevada Power Company be notified the City would like to solicit their cooperation to remove their power lines and poles from the right of way on 5th Street. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. SALE OF CITY PROPERTY At this time the City Clerk stated that the bid of the Sun Valley Trailer Park , Inc. on City Property requested to be placed on the agenda had inadvertently been left off of the agenda. Commissioner Whipple moved the amended proposal of the Sun Valley Trailer Park Inc. for City Property located on the Los Angeles Highway in the amount of 180,666.00 cash be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes , none. Absent : Commissioner Peccole. Commissioner Bunker disqualified himself for reasons heretofore stated.
