I agree.from: CLEARY-STRAUSS-IRWIN & GOODMAN FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Red Skelton will be one of five persons to be awarded honorary degrees at the 81st Founder's Day Convocation of Emerson College, Boston, Mass, on ?╟ Nov. 5. Earlier the same afternoon,"?╟╓ Skelton will also receive the coveted Joseph E. Connor Memorial Award, presented annually by Emerson's Phi Alpha Tau fraternity for an out- standing contribution in the communications arts. The 48-year-old Skeltcn - clown, pantomimist, and business man - will be awarded the degree of L.H.D. (Doctor of Humane Letters) at ceremonies in the .Hale Chapel of Boston's historic First Church. Also receiving the L.H.D. from Emerson will be Dr. Alfred Sloan, founder of the famed Cathedral of the ?╟≤ Pines in Rindge, N.H. ?√ß Prior to the convocation, Skelton will receive the 8th Joseph E. Connor Memorial Award from Phi Alpha Tau fraternity in a presentation to be held at John Hancock Hall in Boston. Among previous recipients of the Connor Award have been poet ; Robert Frost, Gen.
