AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION. STATE 0F NEVADA ) SS County of Clark ) G. P. Squires, being first duly sworn, disposes and says: That he is publisher of the Las Vegas Age, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached Ordinance No. 179 of the City of Las Vegas was published in said newspaper for a period of one week from October 7, 1931 to October 13, 1931 inclusive being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates to-wit: October 7, 8, 9, 10,00 and 13, 1931. That said newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. That the legal charge for publishing the same was $59.50. Signed C. P. Squires. An Ordinance providing for the issuance of bonds of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, in the amount of One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars, ($160,000.00) for the purpose of constructing main sanitary outfall sewers and a sewage disposal plant in addition to and also as an extension of the present sanitary sewer system in said City, prescribing the form of said bonds and the interest coupons to be thereto attached, and in making provisions for the levy of a tax to pay the interest as the installments thereof fall due and to pay the principal at maturity. Whereas, pursuant to and in strict compliance with the provisions and authority of the Constitution and Laws of the State of Nevada, including the provisions of Chapter 132 of the laws of 1911 of the State of Nevada, being an Act of the Senate and Assembly of the State Of Nevada, entitled, "An act to incorporate the town of Las Vegas, in Clark County, and defining the boundaries thereof, and to authorize the establishing of a city government therefor, and other matters relating thereto," approved March 16, 1911, and all acts and parts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto, the City of Las Vegas was authorized to issue its bonds for the purposes of constructing a sewerage system (including a disposal plant) within said city and waste mains therefrom; and Whereas, pursuant to each of the requirements of subsection 5 of Section 31 of said Chapter 132 of the laws of 191.1 of the State of Nevada, as amended by Section 3 of Chapter 215 of the laws of 1931 of the State of Nevada, a special election by the regularly qualified electors of the City of Las Vegas was duly called and held to determine whether or not bonds of said City in the total sum of One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($160,000.00) as hereinafter described shall be issued, notice of which election having been first duly given strictly as therein provided, at which election more than a majority of the votes cast were in favor of the issuance of said bonds; and Whereas, said bonds are being duly advertised for sale, such sale to take place on the 14th day of October, 1931 at the hour of three o'clock P.M.; and Whereas, all conditions precedent to the lawful issuance of said bonds have happened and been duly observed in all things strictly as required by law, therefore, THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS 0F THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN; Section l. That for the purposes aforesaid there shall be and there are hereby ordered and directed to be issued to the purchaser or purchasers at said sale the negotiable coupon bonds of said City in the aggregate amount of One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($160,000.00). Said bonds shall be designated "Las Vegas Sewerage Bonds, 1931 issue," and shall be in the denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) each, numbered one to one hundred sixty (1-160) inclusive, dated July 1, 1931, and mature and become payable as follows: Bonds numbered 1 to 8 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1933; bonds numbered 9 to 16 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July 1934; bonds numbered 17 to 24 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July 1935; bonds numbered 25 to 32 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1936; bonds numbered 33 to 40 inclusive will become due and payable on the first day of July 1937; bonds numbered 41 to 48 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1938; bonds numbered 49 to 56 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1939; bonds numbered 57 to 64 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1940; bonds numbered 65 to 72 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July 1941; bonds numbered 73 to 80 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1942; bonds numbered 81 to 88 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July 1943; bonds numbered 89 to 96 shall become due and payable on the first day of July 1944; bonds numbered 97 to 104 shall become due and payable on the on the first day of July, 1945; bonds numbered 105 to 112 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1946; bonds numbered 113 to 120 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1947; bonds numbered 121 to 128 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July 1948; bonds numbered 129 to 136 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1949; bonds numbered 137 to 144 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1950; bonds numbered 145 to 152 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1951; bonds numbered 153 to 160 inclusive shall become due and payable on the first day of July, 1952. Each of said bonds shall have coupons attached representing each interest installment to date of maturity of the principal. Both principal and interest of said Bonds shall be payable in lawful money of the United States of America at the office of the City Treasurer in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada.
