I agree.Water to be given Helen J.Stewart tinder contract Los Angeles, Cal,, July 01, 1907, Mr. C . O.Whittemore, P r e s i d e n t , Los Angeles, Cal, Lear Sir: On July first Mr,Bracken wrote you relative to the claim made by Mrs.Helm J.Stewart that die was not getting the amount of water on her land which was provided for in the contract, Mr.Granger was in Las Vegas a few days ago, and he states that Mr.Bracken advised there had been no interference with the weir since the last time that he fixed it, upon which occasion they dug out and drove boards so that it would be no easy matter to dig under the weir,as had been done before. Mr.Granger says that Bracken stated, however, that it was his opinion the Stewart people intended to use this burial plot as a homestead, and were trying to get some grounds for complaint, with the object of securing the piping of water from the fownsite in place of the water now furnished thru a ditch, as per agreement.
