    V Ipp Estiaate i s based upon the assumption that we w ill obtain an artesian w ell, At the present time, we do not hare a power lin e extending to our water f a c ilit i e s at the reservoir o r settlin g basin, and i f we should f a i l to obtain an artesian w e ll, i t would be quite expensive to construct & power lin e , in s t a ll electric pump, pump house, etc. IS* redwood stave pipe lin e i s leaking badly and re­quires constant repairs, We recommend renewing 2,000 lin e a l fe e t o f the redwood pipe with 3,000 lin e a l feet o f 24* cast iron pipe, during winter or early spring o f 1936, on b asis we w ill endeavor to make su fficien t repairs to the remaining portion o f 16* wooden pipe to carry i t over to 1937, when i t too should be renewed, fe recommend 24* cast iron pipe instead o f 18* because carrying capacity of 24* pipe w ill be greater and permit large r volume o f water to enter the city mains when sadden draw-offs occur. intimated cost o f 3,000 feet o f 24* east iron pipe in replacement o f 3,000 feet o f 18* redwood stave pipe i s #18,60S* Open spring shown on m p near settlin g basin flows gallons per minute.
