February 18 1948 Mr. Frank Strong Manager, Industrial Development Union Pacific Railroad Company 422 A. Sixth Street Los Angeles 14, California Dear Mr. Strong: The City of Las Vegas has been furnishing approximately one-million gallons of water daily from the old disposal plant to the Old Ranch. The Health Department after investigation, is condemning this prac-tice in the future, due to the inadequate treatment of the sewage and its disbursal over the Old Ranch property. Due to recent development in the area and restriction to future development, the City deems it necessary to terminate this sewage use, within ninety (90) days after March 1, 1948. Very truly yours, CITY OF LAS VEGAS J. M. Murphy City Manager JMM/ad cc: Department of Health A1 Folger -Enclosure: Copy Ltr.fr. Health Dept.
