Sir: - The Secretary has granted authority for the employment, during such part of the current fiscal year as may be necessary,of an additional farmer,at not to exceed $75 per month,to live among the Yava Suppai Indians located in Cataract Canon#to assist and direct them in repairing their irrigating ditches and in such other necessary work as will tend to advance them in their efforts toward self support. Enclosed you will find blanks used to make formal application for the position of Additional farmer in the Indian Service. You will please hand these blanks to the person selected by you for the place and request him to have the same properly filled and then forwarded to this Office through you,in order that evidence of his fitness for the place may be on file. In making your selection you will bear in mind that the law requires at least five years practical experience 4 Inclos.
