CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING TO— VIOLA BURNS, CITY CLERK LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. A Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County is hereby called to be held in the Board of Commissioners Room in the City Clerks Office, Saturday the 4th day of September, 1937 at the hour of nine thirty o'clock A.M. on said day to consider and act upon the following: 1. To act on the payment of city claims for the month of August, 1937 2. To act upon the application of Corey's Club for license for the operation of a "Twenty- one" table, and the application of Tom Williams Jr. for a retail beverage license to be used at the skating rink to be operated at 115 Fremont Street, 2nd floor. 3. To act upon the application of property owners in Woodland Park for proper water service for that area. 4. Mr. Krause stated to the Board that he received on benefits from the Claim of the Southern Nevada Disinfectant Company, said claim signed by Kermit Krause. On motion of Commissioner Krause seconded by Commissioner Marble it was moved and carried that a retail beverage license be granted to Tom Williams Jr. for operation at the skating rink at 115 Fremont St. Vote Commissioners Krause, Marble and Ronnow and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. The following petition was presented to the Board at this time: TO THE HONORABLE— THE MAYOR, AND THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. WE, the undersigned residents of and owners of lots in Woodlawn Park Addition in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do hereby petition you honorable body to furnish the undersigned with water, controlled and regulated by the City of Las Vegas. We feel, that in order to develop and make habitable, the said addition, and for proper protection against fire, and because conditions are becoming unsanitary, it is necessary to have an adequate water supply. Therefore, we do hereby request that the City of Las Vegas furnish the necessary water.
