Commissioner Fountain suggested that Director of Public Works Sauer and Planning Director Bills work this out as he appreciated the necessity for proper drainage; however, the people in this, area needed relief. Commissioner Whipple moved this matter be referred to the Planning Commission for study and recommendation to be made to the Board of City Commissioners at their next regular meeting on October 21, 1959. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. QUITCLAIM DEED Commissioner Fountain moved the following Resolution of Acceptance be adopted United Brotherhood for Quitclaim Deed to the City of Las Vegas from the United Brotherhood of of Carpenters Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local Union #1780, for the north one-half & Joiners of (N½) of 60' right-of-way for extension of Bonanza Road adjacent to Bonanza America, Local Square Subdivision: Union #1780 QUITCLAIM DEED Resolution of Acceptance UNITED BROTHERHOOD OF CARPENTERS AND JOINERS OF AMERICA, LOCAL UNION NO. 1780, the undersigned, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar Adopted ($1.00), receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents hereby release, remise, sell and forever quitclaim unto the City of Las Vegas, a Municipal Corporation of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, all right, title and interest in and to the following described property, to-wit: A certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situate in the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and being a portion of the Northwest One-Quarter (NW¼) of the Southeast One-Quarter (SE¼) of Section 29, Township 20 South, Range 61 East, M. Fountain, duly seconded by Commissioner Reed Whipple, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 7th day of October, 1959, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 4th day of September, 1959, executed by United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local Union No. 1780 to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes of street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board.
