OPENING OF BIDS No. 54.8 - Panel Truck OPENING OF BIDS Recreation Center OPENING OF BIDS Sewage Pumping Plant OPENING OF BIDS Pumps - Golf Course OPENING OF BIDS Water Line - Recreation Center CONDEMNATION 817 Fremont St. CANOPY - HORSESHOE CLUB Vernon Welborn This being the time set for the opening of bids for the panel truck for the Fire Department the matter was considered by the Board and bids were received from the following firms; CASHMAN CMC $1,700.00 COMMUNITY CHEVROLET 1,759.00 CLARK CO. WHOLESALE MERC. 1,765.16 Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager and Fire Chief for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of bids for the construction of a Recreation Center, the matter was considered by the Board and bids were received from the following firms; LEMBKE, CLOUGH, KING $155,720.00 J. A. TIBERTI CONST. CO. 163,770.00 MCDONALD BROS. 167,395.00 R. J. DAUM CONST. CO. 178,475.00 LONGLEY CONST. CO. 179, 796.00 SIERRA CONST. CO. 179,850.00 Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of bids for the construction of a sewage pumping plant, the matter was considered by the Board and bids were received from the following firms; G. E. MILLER $21,950.00 GENERAL BUILDERS, INC. 24,866.40 LONGLEY CONST. CO. 24,058.00 Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of bids for pumps for the Golf Course, the matter was considered by the Board and bids were received from the following firms: NEVADA PUMP & SUPPLY $8,489.00 PHELPS PUMP 9,190.00 S. R. MCKINNEY & SON 9,952.05 ALLEN & FAILING 9,984.66 MCGARVIE PLUMBING 9,997.75 Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of bids for the construction of a water line to the Recreation Center, the matter was considered by the Board and bids were received from the following firms: LONGLEY CONSTRUCTION CO. MILES R. NAY, CONTRACTOR WELLS CARGO, INC. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the Board considered the recommendation of the Building Department on the condemnation of 817 Fremont Street. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the Building Department proceed to demolish this property, clean it up and charge it against the property owner. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the Board considered the request of Vernon Welbron for a canopy across the alley behind the Horseshoe Club. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved this request be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, and Whipple voting aye; noes, Mayor Baker. Commissioner Sharp passed his vote.
