Dear Justin:

ACADEMIC AFTAJRS

OCT 28138/

UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA. LAS VEGAS

As you may be aware the Nevada State Bar Association started program requiring all active lawyers to complete 10 hours of legal education each year.

1 recently attended a program conducted by a law professor from New York University (Larry King) along with approximately 100 others. This program generated ten hours credit over a period of two days at a cost of $100 per participant and was certainly worthwhile.

It occurred to me that this University could sponsor a similar program and that we could do this on an on-golag basis In conjunction with a specific law school. We would make the necessary arrangements (publicity, space, facilities) and the law school would provide speakers with appropriate presentations. Profits would be allocated In an equitable manner.

Do you think Hastings would be Interested In joining with us, and If so, would you be Interested In helping to create such a program?

Sincerely,

Lome Seldman
Professor of Business Law
