Los Angeles, July 1, 1953 36-15 / Nr. L. R. Maag: (ce - Hr. Wm. Reinhard Mr. C. M. Bates Mr. Calvin M. Cc I have your letter of June 29, 1953, enclosing a form of guarantee issued by Pioneer Title Insurance and Trust Company which Mr. Sweeney suggests be used in providing the Las Vegas Land and Water Company with a title report on new pipe lines located in dedicated streets or alleys. The form, which I return herewith, appears to me to be satisfactory. I notice that it provides for limits of liability not to exceed blank dollars. It was my understanding from Mr. Hammill that Mr. Sweeney did not desire to issue a guarantee with a monetary liability. However I notice that the form he suggests provides for a monetary liability in a blank amount. This, of course, Is satisfactory to us, and I suggest that limits of $1,000 be inserted. In view of the form of the guarantee suggested by Mr. Sweeney it is my suggestion that paragraph 4(a) of the typical Rule 9 agreement which is referred to in ray letter to you of June l8th be amended to read as follows : ”4. To provide the Las Vegas Land and Water Company M(a) with a title guarantee with limits of $1,000.00, Issued by the Pioneer Title Insurance and Trust Company, showing that where pipe lines are located in dedicated streets or alleys, such streets or alleys have been lawfully dedicated under the laws of the State of Nevada by the owners of rec ord of all of the land involved and have not subsequently been vacated o abandoned.M Enel.
