Las Vegas, Nevada, February 5, 1924. Mr. S« E. Galvin, President, Las Vegas Land & Water Co*, Los Angeles, California. Dear Sir: Since wiring you this after noon, I was Unfortunate in having some water main trouble which will prevent my leaving tonight, and it is possibly just as well, as I want to be with and assist Mr. Beauchamp tomorrow in reference to X. W. W. Organizations which have located here in Las Vegas. Of the few matters on which J wish to consult with you personally, the one in particular was in reference to sale of piece of acreage just south of town, to W. E. Hawkins. I herewith enclose a letter from Mr. Hawkins in reference to purchase of this ground, all of which is self- explanatory; also enclosing you my map showing exact location of same, which*is, south west quarter, Section 33, Township 20, Range 61, excepting R.W. and townsite lying within this quarter, comprising 109.4 acres. If X remember rightly, I brought this matter to your attention some time ago, personally, and you, at that' time, advised the sale of same. However, I am submitting the same now for your approval and would recommend that we accept Mr. Hawkins1 offer for this ground, inasmuch as the addition which he opened up east of the townsite has been a great benefit to us and has been very creditably handled. If this meets with your approval, and you will kindly return my map, I will have the necessary agreements covering same drawn and submit to you later. Yours truly, B/H Vice-President & Agent.
