ERECTION: We will furnish all labor and tools required to properly erect the pipe, and the pipe when laid shall conform accurately to the grade and alignment of the stakes set by your engineer. The staves shall be made to break joints and the ends of ths adjoining staves in no oass shall be nearer than two feet. The bands shall be placed at right angles to the axis of the pipe. You are to keep £he trench or line of pipe free from water and obstructions while the work is in psgress , and until the test of the pipe shall have been made and acceptance given. The bottom of the tprenoh shall be not less than two feet wider than the outside diameter of the pipe with side slopes great enough to inmpfc stability of the banks. If ths pipe Is to be laid on the sdtface of the ground, you are to furnish a proper foundation for same, TEST: As soon as the erection of the pipe line has been completed, it is understood that you will furnish, without ex­pense to us, the water required to fill and test the pipe line. We shall have full charge of turning the water into the pipe and making this test* After the pipe IS filled and under full pressure, should the line show any leakage, these leaks shall be stopped at our expense.
